Abstract

Mangrove forested land has a tendency to always be wet, containing salt, low oxygen content, grainy and high organic matter content.  Organic matter available due to decomposing mengrove leaf litter. The fertility of mangrove habitat cannot be separated from the role of the substrate / soil as a growing medium and the decomposition media of litter from total yield of all parts of the mangrove tree.  The existence of soil with physical chemical properties is very important for mangrove growth and means of mangrove decomposition. The research objective was to determine the physical aspects of the Rhizophora sp mangrove soil in Aceh Jaya. This research uses descriptive quantitative method with purposive sampling survey technique. Samples are taken for a specific purpose or purpose. Sampling was carried out at stations based on different types of mangrove species. Calculate the density carried out at each station with a transect area of 10 m x 10 m. For taking soil samples in this case the substrate was carried out composite 5 points taken at a depth of 10 cm, 20 cm and 30 cm using 1 inch diameter peralon. Mangrove ecosystems have an important role both physically and chemically and are one of the productive ecosystems. The results showed that Station II chlorophyll-a content was higher than I as well as its organic matter content. Microflora sediment abundance at station I was higher (68.08%) than station II (60.31%). From the results of texture analysis shows that on stations I and II on average have a sediment containing a lot of sand which has the highest number of 85.14% is station I and at station I found types of R. apiculata and R. stylosa. Whereas at station II found 3 types of mangroves namely R. mucronata, R. stylosa and Avicennia marina with R. mucronata dominance. In general, the nutrient content at both stations is quite varied, it shows very low nitrogen content
