ANALISA PERHITUNGAN TEKANAN MESIN SCREW PRESS DENGAN METODE PENGEPRESAN BUAH SAWIT MENJADI CRUDE PALM OIL (CPO) DI PT.BEURATA SUBUR PERSADA

Abstract


The tool used in the pressing system is a screw press which is useful for separating the oil and palm fruit pulp. In this process, the pulp is ground and squeezed with a threaded shaft or a worm screw press which holds and presses the fruit mass fed into a cage-shaped screw press. On the other hand, there is also a hydraulic system in the form of a cone-shaped rod at the end that narrows the entry and exit of the fruit mass. This causes the fruit to be squeezed until the oil comes out of the pulp. Due to the large loss of palm oil that occurs in the pressing process, it can reduce the production of crude palm oil (CPO) produced. From this interpretation, it can be concluded that the hydraulic pressure on the screw press unit is very important to pay attention to so that the loss of palm oil is as minimal as possible as the hydraulic pressure is set at 50-60 sticks. For equipment maintenance, it is necessary to know the amount of pressure that occurs in the pressure cage due to the force and force of the fruit pulp that occurs in the worm screw press so that a comparison can be made between the hydraulic pressure and the pressure that occurs in the screw press. 50 bar.
