Abstract

The Pangan Jajanan Anak Sekolah (PJAS) Aman program is a government initiative to ensure the safety and quality of snacks in schools, in line with Law No. 17 of 2023 on health. This study evaluates the implementation of the program at SMP Negeri 1 Gedangan using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied through interviews, observations, and documentation with the main informants of the principal, teachers, students, parents, and canteen managers.

The results show that there are significant achievements such as national awards in the implementation of Safe PJAS, Efforts made ranging from the formation of an implementation team, education of traders, cooperation with the Health Office, BPOM, and Puskesmas to MUI, and getting used to school residents to bring food and beverage containers from home. However, socialization to student guardians and outside traders is still limited, so that food and snack consumption outside the school environment has not been controlled.

Periodic evaluation is needed to maintain the sustainability of the program. Active participation of parents and wider collaboration with related agencies are key to success. This study provides policy recommendations to support the national movement for safe school snacks and encourage the growth of a healthy, productive and well-behaved generation.
