PEMUCATAN MINYAK HATI IKAN CUCUT PISANG (CHARCHARINUS FALCIFORMIS) MENGGUNAKAN MAGNESOL XL

Abstract


Hati ikan cucut diketahui banyak mengandung minyak yang dapat digunakan sebagai obat-obatan, 50% dari total minyak ikan cucut terdapat pada bagian hati. Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas minyak kasar hati ikan cucut menggunakan magnesol XL. Metode pengujian kualitas minyak ikan mengacu pada AOAC. Perlakuan yang digunakan yaitu pemucatan menggunakan magnesol XL (1%, 3%, dan 5%). Hasil pemucatan menunjukkan bahwa magnesol XL dapat meningkatkan kualitas minyak hati cucut pisang. Minyak hasil pemucatan menggunakan magnesol XL 3% merupakan perlakuan terbaik. Pemucatan dengan menggunakan magnesol XL 3% menghasilkan minyak dengan kualitas nilai (FFA: 0,28±0,00%; PV: 1,66±0,46 mEq/kg; p-AV: 6,36±0,20 mEq/kg; TOTOX: 9,02±1,13 mEq/kg; AV: 0,56±0,00 mg KOH/kg; kejernihan: 76,43±0,91%; viskositas : 31,81±0,46 cP).
