Urgensi Penerapan Manajemen SDM Pada Generasi Z Dalam Meningkatkan Karier di Masa Depan

Abstract


Globalization and digital transformation have significantly changed the workplace landscape, particularly in human resource (HR) management. As digital natives, Generation Z presents unique characteristics, such as adaptability to technology, prioritizing work flexibility, and an orientation toward work-life balance and meaningfulness. This study aims to examine the urgency of implementing adaptive and innovative HR management to support Generation Z's future career development. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, incorporating a literature review of various journals and scientific sources from the past ten years. The study results indicate that HR management plays a strategic role in advancing Generation Z's careers through technology-based recruitment, competency development, transparent performance management, and structured career planning. Furthermore, creating an inclusive, flexible, and collaborative work culture also increases employee engagement and productivity. However, implementing HR management for Generation Z also faces various challenges, such as high career expectations, the need for work flexibility, communication gaps, and high turnover rates. Therefore, organizations need to develop HR strategies that balance the use of technology and a humanistic approach to create a competent, adaptive, and competitive workforce for the future.
