Meritokrasi vs Patronase dalam Seleksi PPPK: Analisis Wacana Media dengan Perspektif Foucault tentang Kekuasaan

Abstract


Penelitian ini menganalisis pemberitaan media terkait dugaan kecurangan dalam seleksi Pegawai Pemerintah dengan Perjanjian Kerja (PPPK) menggunakan pendekatan teori kekuasaan dan wacana Foucault. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap bagaimana media online membingkai dan membentuk persepsi publik mengenai seleksi PPPK, serta bagaimana kekuasaan dan ideologi terkait meritokrasi dan patronase terbentuk melalui wacana media. Data yang dianalisis mencakup berbagai artikel yang melaporkan praktik manipulasi data, pemalsuan dokumen, dan ketidaktransparanan dalam proses seleksi PPPK di berbagai daerah. Pendekatan analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis wacana (discourse analysis), analisis frame, dan analisis media kritis (critical media analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media berperan penting dalam membentuk wacana yang mengarah pada ketidakpercayaan publik terhadap sistem seleksi PPPK. Framing yang digunakan oleh media sering kali mengedepankan ketidakadilan yang timbul akibat praktik patronase, serta mempertanyakan efektivitas sistem meritokrasi yang seharusnya menjadi dasar seleksi. Analisis ini juga mengungkapkan bahwa media, sebagai alat untuk menyebarkan pengetahuan dan membentuk ideologi, memperkuat atau mengkritik kekuasaan yang ada, serta memainkan peran penting dalam mendorong wacana perlawanan terhadap ketidakadilan dalam proses seleksi PPPK. Dengan mengaitkan teori Foucault mengenai kekuasaan, media tidak hanya mencerminkan kenyataan sosial, tetapi juga berfungsi sebagai ruang perlawanan terhadap struktur kekuasaan yang dominan dalam sistem birokrasi.
